Krista Michaels
Krista - the Writer/Director STATIC (2025), MANTID (2023), ONE MONDAY (2020) — is a transgender filmmaker and cinematographer based in Denver, Colorado.
Co-Founder and CEO of Retro Raptor, LLC— she made her short film directorial debut with ONE MONDAY (2020) after years of being in the entertainment industry—from working in theatre doing sound, set, and poster design to directing behind-the-scenes Blu-ray extras for a horror company.
Behind-the-scenes work includes her first featurette as cinematographer of an interview with Ernie Hudson for an old horror film, Leviathan. Later, Krista would film a behind-the-scenes look at the 2k film scanning process for 80s slasher, Sleepaway Camp, which was shot at Technicolor in Los Angeles.
Krista fell in love with cinema from an early age, as well as the tangible film format as a dual-35mm projectionist and, later, as a film photographer.
She met the star of ONE MONDAY, Brandy Bryant, in southern Virginia where she grew up. Together, the two formed the film production company Retro Raptor, LLC, where various film and TV projects are under way.
Brandy Bryant
Self-described "Transgender Comedian, Tattoo Artist, and Parent"—debuted in her very first Special Makeup FX role in Mantid (2023). She later provided the special makeup fx for Static (2025).
Though she grew up in a small town in southern Virginia, she has since exploded onto the Denver, Colorado comedy scene, having performed at such venues as Comedy Works, as well as the High Plains Comedy Festival.
As Co-Founder and CEO of Retro Raptor, LLC, she is currently hard at work on several media projects, from an animated series to a TV sitcom.
Victoria-Shepard Yockey
Victoria had her acting debut in film as the lead
protagonist in the 2025 short film
Static, directed by Krista Michaels.
As a friend and member of the Retro Raptor family, Victoria has been fully supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, and plans to act in more minority-driven independent films.
Levi Yockey
Levi got his acting career started in 2025 as the "Apparition" in Krista Michaels' horror short film, "Static".
With a love and passion for horror, Levi has dreamt of playing a slasher monster for as long as he can remember.
He is an ally and advocate to the LGBTQ+ community, and longtime friend of the Retro Raptor
family.
